Company Mission Statement
The mission of the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant is to work diligently to provide the residents of Hingham with low cost, safe, reliable electric service on demand at a competitive price.
Administrative Mission Statement
The mission of the Administration is to provide policy direction and departmental management and to support the activities of the operating divisions within HMLP.
Engineering Mission Statement
The mission of the Engineering Division is to provide the Operating Division with electrical system design, Computer Aided Design and Drafting Service (CADD) and technical engineering support in their mission to operate, maintain and deliver their services to the HMLP customers, as well as to formulate short and long term planning for the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant infrastructure.
Operations Mission Statement
The mission of the Operations Division is to provide reliable electric energy to the electric utility customers at the lowest possible cost. To operate and maintain Hingham’s electric system in a safe, economical and environmentally sound manner, and to provide customer service by responding to
electrical outages in a timely manner.
Customer Service Mission Statement
The mission of the Customer Service Division is to provide first class service to the utility customers. The customer service department will strive to ensure that the customer is our number one concern and that they receive outstanding service.
