“With a look to the past and a vision for the future, we continue to cherish this most valuable Town asset known as our beloved South Shore Country Club. Join us in celebrating its 100th Anniversary by participating in its capital improvements to ensure its longevity for the next 100 years!” – Christine Smith, Chair, Country Club Management Committee.

The South Shore Country Club, owned by the Town of Hingham since 1988, contains approximately 160 acres of open space. The property encompasses an original Wayne Stiles, 18-hole golf course and practice area, bowling alley, indoor golf simulators, restaurant, and banquet facilities. While the municipal course is open to the public year-round, it also makes available for purchase a limited number of permits for unlimited golf opportunities during the season. Host to Hingham High School Men and Women’s Golf Teams, Men and Women’s Golf Associations, Ladies Nights Out, The Tee Club, multiple Bowling Leagues, Summer Camps, the Special Needs Athletic Partnership (SNAP), and a multitude of other town and private events, the SSCC continues to provide a strong asset to its community. As the SSCC operates as an Enterprise Fund, its budget is limited with needed capital enhancements driving the 2017 formation of this 501c3 known as the Friends of the South Shore Country Club.
