Service Fees
Reconnection Fees
If your service was terminated for non-payment, you must make a payment immediately on your account which will include a reconnect fee charge. Payments can be made by calling HMLP Customer Service on 781-749-0134. The reconnect fees are as follows:
- Each service which is re-established between 7:00AM – 3:00PM is $30.00
- Each service which is re-established between 3:00PM – 4:30PM is $60.00
- Each service which is re-established between 4:30PM – 7:00AM is $250.00
Pole Installation
A single service pole is $900.00.
Temporary Service
The cost of installing and removing temporary service facilities shall be paid by the customer. All energy consumption shall be paid for according to the applicable Rate Classification.
Installation and removal of service drop and self-contained meter (load less than 200 amps) is $200.00
Underground Residential Service Installation
Underground service pole to hand hole is $1800.00.
Check Return Fee
Checks will be returned to a customer for: insufficient funds, closed account, stop payment, etc. You will be charged a $15.00 returned check service fee. A cash payment, certified check or money order is due in the office to cover the amount of the returned check. You may also pay with a credit card over the phone by calling 781-749-0134.
Special Customer Services
Equipment Relocation
Whenever, at the customer’s request, HMLP relocates equipment or facilities to suit the convenience of the customer, the customer shall reimburse HMLP the cost incurred, plus a charge of 38% on material and 58% on labor and transportation to cover indirect overhead costs plus 17% for administrative and general costs.
Special Installation Work
A customer shall pay the cost of any special installation to meet their specific requirements for service at other than standard voltage, and for supply of closer voltage regulation than is required by standard practice.
Blasting
If blasting is required to set a ole and/or anchor on a private property, it is at the customer’s expense.
Contract or Jobbing Work
HMLP construction jobbing or contract work on the customer’s premesis, the costs of which are not normally included in the operating property or maintenance ccounts of the HMLP, will be charged for on the basis of current labor, transportation and material costs plus a charge of 38% on material and 58% on labor and transportation to cover indirect overhead costs plus 17% for administrative and general costs.
Outside Contractors
Whenever it becomes necessary for HMLP to use ouside contractors including those providing professional services or where the need of special services (not normally provided for by the HMLP personnel) are required for the convenience of the customer, the HMLP will bill the customer actual costs plus a 17% administrative charge to cover indirect costs.
