This is the rate that the Town of Hingham pays. It is not available to non-municipal customers.

This rate is available only for the Town of Hingham for all purposes except Street Lighting.

Customer Charge: $23.50/month
Demand Charge (All over 10kW): $13.50 per kW/month
Capacity, Transmission & Distribution Charge: $0.017230/kWh

Customer Charge: $22.00/month
Demand Charge: $12.50/kW/month
Transmission & Distribution Charge: $0.017960/kWh
Energy Charge
The Energy Charge is based on HMLP’s average monthly cost of energy and may be increased or decreased and may be adjusted in accordance with the HMLP’s Standard Energy Charge.
Demand
The demand for each month will be the greatest 15-minute peak ocurring during such month as measured in kW.
Discount
A discount of approximately 10% will be applied to bills paid on or before the 15th of the month following the billing date, providing all previous and current bills have been paid. No bill shall be reduced less than the monthly minimum charge with the applied discount. The Energy Charge, PANSY Credit, PCA and Sales tax will not be discounted.
Customer Charge
This is the minimum fixed charge for every rate payer to help with the distribution costs of providing electricity and 50% of the previous demand usage in kW from the previous June billing. This applies to all G-3 customers including G-3 customers who have left the HMLP system.
Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)
The PCA is a variable component of the rate that is used to account for unforseen costs.
