Touch-A-Truck at the Hingham Library
Touch-A Truck is a fun family event to be enjoyed by kids of all ages! Trucks from Town Departments including HMLP and the DPW will be parked on the driveway by the children’s entrance of the Hingham Library at 66 Leavitt St between 10 AM and 12 PM.
2024 NEPPA RodE&O
The rodeo is designed to enhance skills and job knowledge, foster stronger working relationships, encourage teamwork, and provide a better understanding of utility work for families and other attendees. The Rode&o event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 9 AM.
Cleaner Greener Hingham Day 2024
Cleaner Greener Hingham Day is coming April 27, 2024 from 9am – 11am! Gather your friends and family to help make this annual tradition a success. Sign up at the link included to clean up one of the many beautiful spots in Hingham.
Commercial PACE Financing
On March 12, the Select Board opted into the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program, clearing a pathway for commercial and industrial property owners in Hingham to get low-cost, long-term loans for energy efficiency upgrades. Visit Mass Development’s website for more information.
Why Does HMLP Offer Rebates?
How and when we use electricity impacts the costs that are borne by all ratepayers through elements such as HMLP’s capacity and transmission charges. The number and kind of load changes expected in the future make it advisable for HMLP to take an active role in both planning for new behaviors and incentivizing behaviors that will assist in managing expected changes to the demand curve.
Notice of Rate Increase – February 1, 2024
Pursuant to the phased rate increase that was approved on May 2, 2023 to cover increasing operation costs, energy costs, and HEIRP as approved by Town Meeting, rates will be going up on February 1st and visible on the February 29th bill. 2024 Solar Leases Warrant Article
HMLP’s Light Board has voted to submit a draft warrant article to the Select Board for inclusion in the 2024 Annual Town Meeting warrant. The article authorizes the Select Board to grant leases to other parties to install solar arrays on Town properties.

HMLP Senior Breakfast
HMLP hosted a Senior Breakfast for senior citizens in Hingham at 9 AM on December 1st at the South Shore Country Club.
EV Showcase & Commemoration
HMLP and Hingham Drives Electric hosted an EV Showcase and Commemoration Ceremony on Sunday, October 22nd from 11 AM to 2 PM at Station St. Parking Lot in Hingham, MA. Many residents joined us to celebrate our new charging stations, see a variety of EVs, and talk with our EV specialists!

Scavenger Hunt
Gather the entire family for this fun and educational activity taking place during the month of October! Submit photos of all ten electricity-related items on the scavenger hunt list and be entered to win a grand prize. Each family who submits all photos and meets the contest criteria will receive an HMLP goody bag.
